Pistol/Rifle Orientation Programs

image  FIRSTFirearm, Instruction, Responsibility, and Safety TrainingSTEPS is a firearm orientation program for new gun purchasers or those seeking additional assistance in the safe use and handling of one of their firearms that they may not feel sufficiently comfortable with.

image The FIRST STEPS Orientation Program is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and operation of one specific firearm model (licensed handgun, .22 caliber rifle, or carbine rifle chambered for handgun ammunition).

image The FIRST STEPS Orientation Program conforms with the requirements of the National Rifle Association (NRA) and is conducted by NRA certified instructors.

image The FIRST STEPS Orientation Program consists of a one-on-one, three-hour session – using the participant’s firearm – that provides the participant with a thorough introduction to firearm safety, handling, and shooting skills. Approximately two hours are spent in the classroom and one hour on the range.
